About the Township

​

Danby Township is a general law township located in the southeast corner of Ionia County between Lansing and Grand Rapids and adjacent to Portland City.  It is Agricultural and Residential in character and its location provides convenient access to Lansing and Grand Rapids for employment or other needs via Interstate 96.  The Grand River runs through the Township with a great deal of State owned lands for recreation, hunting and abundant wildlife.
