NEW ONLINE OPTION TO PAY TAXES

Danby Township residents can now pay their taxes online by clicking on the link below.  You can also mail your taxes to PO Box 566, Portland MI 48875, or use the drop box at the Township Hall.

Current winter taxes are due February 14 to pay without penalty.  They can be paid after that to the Township Treasurer through February 28 and any unpaid taxes after March 1 must be paid at the County Treasurer's office.

The Township Treasurer will be at the Township Hall to collect taxes between 9 am to 5 pm on February 14 and February 28.

Township Treasurer’s Statutory Duties

 

Collects real and personal property taxes 
Keeps an account of township receipts (revenues) and expenditures 
Issues township checks 
Deposits township revenues in approved depositories 
Invests township funds in approved investment vehicles 
Collects delinquent personal property tax 
Responsible for jeopardy assessments in collecting property tax 
Collects mobile home specific tax 
Must appoint a deputy 
Must post a surety bond
